About Me

From 2004 to 2006, I did service work in Taiwan, and this allowed me to learn Mandarin. After returning from Taiwan, I resumed my university education. I graduated in 2009 and became a freelance writer and translator.

After learning to speak, read, and write Chinese, every other language seems easy. Having traveled to South America multiple times, I am functional in Spanish and Portuguese, and I translate into English from these languages in addition to Chinese. Starting in 2008, I began to have a strong interest in Indonesia as well, causing me to actively study Bahasa Indonesia. While I have never been to Indonesia, I have learned enough of the language to be able to translate documents from Bahasa Indonesia to English.

I have BA degrees in Chinese and English from Brigham Young University and an MBA from Hult International Business School.

I currently live in Houston with my wife and three children. You may see my LinkedIn profile here.
